It looks so weird - it has a huge rear quarter window AND a large amount of metal over the rear wheel. Those weird metal to wheel ratios remind me of japanese cars from the same era:

A lotta metal over those tiny rear wheels.

It has a bit of Renault 15 about it (which was launched 4 years later, so could have been inspired by this)

Its sedan version?

This is actually a sedan variation for the Renault Project H that we didn’t see either. But you probably remember this as I used the same picture couple of days ago...

I don’t doubt that Fiat wouldn’t be what the title says but the designers of these two were definitely following the same  trends.
